Joining Sanquhar Enterprise Company means being part of a driving force for positive change in our community. 

As a member, you’ll help shape projects that support local people and improve life in Sanquhar and the surrounding district. 

From preserving our Heritage to promoting our natural assets, to creating opportunities for recreation, learning and wellbeing, your membership gives you a voice in how we build a stronger, more resilient community together.

If you’re aged 16 or over and live in Sanquhar or District Community Council area, you’re warmly invited to join us as a member of SEC.  By becoming a member, you’ll be part of a community-driven organisation working to make a real difference locally.

As a member, you’ll have the right to attend our Annual General Meeting (and any special meetings), giving you a direct voice in shaping our future.  You’ll also play an important role in our governance, from electing trustees to even standing for election yourself if you’d like to join the Board.

​

Membership isn’t just a formality, it’s your opportunity to influence local projects, support positive change, and ensure community voices are heard. 

While members also share certain responsibilities under the Charities and Trustee Investments (Scotland) Act 2005, this is simply part of being an active citizen and helping SEC continue its work for the good of everyone in Sanquhar and beyond.
